The following information is for transfer students coming from a junior/community college into The University of Texas at Tyler. Students are eligible to apply for either a Presidential Transfer Scholarship of $2,000 per year OR an Alumni Transfer Scholarship of $1,000 per year.

The following scholarship awards are for fall and spring only!

Presidential Transfer Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,000 per year

To qualify, students must:

• Be accepted for admission
• Be incoming junior/community college transfer student who has completed four regular semesters as a full-time student or a total of 59 semester hours
• Enroll for a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester (Fall and Spring)
• Have a cumulative 3.5 GPA on all junior/community college course work

Alumni Transfer Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000 per year

To qualify, students must:

• Be accepted for admission

• Be incoming junior/community college transfer student who has completed four regular semesters as a full-time student or a total of 59 semester hours

• Enroll for a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester (Fall & Spring)
• Have a cumulative 3.0 – 3.49 GPA on all junior/community college course work

Scholarships offered at The University of Texas at Tyler are designed to attract and retain outstanding degree-seeking students. To be considered, students must be accepted for admission to UT Tyler and submit an application for scholarship on-line at www.uttyler.edu/scholarship for the appropriate academic year.

Students may not receive more than one academic scholarship award from the University per semester.
