Prep is a partnership between secondary education, postsecondary education, and
business. The purpose of this partnership is to prepare a high-quality workforce
that meets current and future labor market demands. It ensures that students exit
high school and the community or technical college with marketable skills and
the credentials to pursue higher education. High school students receive a rigorous
academic foundation, skills training in a Tech Prep career, and earn college credit
while in high school. Community and technical college students earn a degree in
a time-shortened Tech Prep program. Businesses hiring Tech Prep graduates get
high-skill employees. A Tech Prep A.A.S. degree prepares students to go straight
to work or to pursue a bachelor's degree or both. | | |
